trying to give books and DVDs to charity shops

had a clear out and had 3 big crates of decent DVD's and books. Spent the morning driving to charity shops who looked at me as if I was trying to sell drugs to schools kids. tried the local hospital, then a big retirement home. ended up going to the local tip which has a book bank - except the staff said it was full and to throw them in the skips
