Has anyone noticed an increase in the “Americanisation” of our media in the last few weeks?

I feel it’s been on the back burner for years but really seems to have amped up over the last few weeks starting with the whole Cummings debacle. Now I’m seeing non stop posts about police brutality and racism etc all over social media. And it’s not just in reference to the US it’s videos and articles about it happening in the UK. Really feels like a coordinated effort to Americanise social media / normal media recently. Just me?
