My girlfriend has lost her residence card and we are about to travel back to the UK. Any ideas what will happen?

We are just about to fly back to London and she has lost her residence card (she’s from Japan). After looking online all I can see is you have to apply for a single entry visa but you have to go to a centre to provide fingerprints and stuff first which we just have no time for.

Has anyone here had any experience of this or do you know what will happen when we arrive at Luton?
