  1. Completely disagree with this. Aside from the fact that it represents a two tier justice system, it is based on the assumption that all police are perfect, and we know that this is not the case by the fact that some police have been arrested after ten years service for raping people in prison cells. And more recent cases like these.

And these are only the ones that have been caught for serious rapes, there are plenty more assaults that have been covered up by police professional standards departments, in particular by ignoring regulation 22 and 91 of the Independent Police Complaints Commission Regulations 2015, which apparently carries no penalty. So frankly whilst it's often stated that, "it's an attack on what they stand for," you have no clue what some of them stand for and in some cases it absolutely should be attacked. So whilst I oppose a two tier justice and punishment system anyway, the fact that it would also apply to some of the absolute scum within the police force should make everyone's blood boil.
